Chowberry is an online food store that  gives access and updates on low priced nutritious packaged food products sold at rock bottom prices from various stores as their expiry dates approch.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Full Stack Engineer
Location: Nigeria
About the Role
You will join the software engineering team in developing and refactoring the current code base into a more robust product with new modules and features developed and tested for usability while developing new industry specific software.
You will be involved in developing solutions for process automization using modern distributed frameworks, write micro-services with self-discovery and innovative modules and be involved in software development for digital device engineering with low-level programming.
Our tech stack:
PHP, MySQL, Python, NginX, AWS, Digital Ocean.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
Software Engineering.
Product Development, Maintaining, refactoring and improving current code base on multiple products
Build & Scale Back-end services, other assigned tasks.
Support and continuous enhancement of software development and infrastructure
Coding new features, refactoring old codebase into MVC, and developing API’s
Documentation, Trainings and support services for on-boarded clients.
Join the Chowberry Version 2.0 Team in developing software architecture and implementing new module for the cloud-based service.
Skills & Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Electronics or related field. NYSC not required.
Experience coding in Object Oriented PHP (Python or Ruby is an added advantage).
Understanding of MVC design patterns.
Evidence of github projects in mandatory
Basic understanding of front-end technologies and frameworks such as JavaScript, AngularJS HTML5, and CSS3.
Minimum 2 years Web development Experience.
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
Integrating data from various back-end services and databases;
Experience with frameworks like Laravel.
Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
General knowledge of Linux architecture and Ubuntu/Debian administration
Knowledge of core util tools

Soft Skills:
Passion for tech outside of work, ideally with personal projects to prove it (e.g. on GitHub)
Curiosity to think about the big picture and learn new technologies.
Drive to get things done – you burst through obstacles in your way and don’t mind lending a hand when the team needs it
