Job Description

  • Implementation and coordination of safety policies, rules, regulations and standard work instructions of the company among staff and Drivers.
  • Responsible for the effective and efficient management of Logistics area of the plant to achieve set target on safety, Cost operational efficiency and People development.
  • Ensure optimisation of Strategy Trucks
  • Identify and eliminates internal complexities on process with respect to trucks turnaround within the plant
  • Responsible for Volume tracking via volume reconciliation, surveillance reports of depot despatches and Management report on the operation.
  • Engagement with stakeholders on issues resolution on IT system and sales orders.
  • Responsible for internal control process are strictly adhere to
  • Responsible for execution of targeted distribution plan and generation of STOT for depot transfer order.
  • Innovate and improve processes to achieve targeted reduction in distribution cost through payload optimisation and adherence to core /none core split target.
  • Ensure uninterrupted flow of operation through constant engagement with the Union and host Community.
  • Responsible and accountable for the respective unit within the logistic operation in the plant.
  • Ensure supply chain improvement project are executed within the time frame.

  • B.SC/HND degree in a related field

Job Description

  • Analytical and actionable Liaison between Plant and Logistics Operations.
  • Develop a margin optimised demand & supply plan.
  • Leverage IT solutions to schedule and coordinate the distribution of the products in the most economically advantageous manner based on transport mode and operating capabilities
  • Plan master production /distribution schedule with production team/distribution team of each plant
  • Develop/ Implement and continuous review of costing and routeing models for customers to maximise profitability.
  • Lead Logistics systems/processes projects to improve efficiency, speed, quality of transportation services and overall cost to serve
  • Develop and implement costing and routeing models for existing and prospective customers.
  • Create planning metrics.
  • Analyse transportation and distribution methods and processes for optimal delivery of customer freight that meets established service and cost requirements.
  • Lead efficiency across the entire logistics pipeline by monitoring delays and work with relevant stakeholders to address
  • Develop/implement supply chain risk management and contingency plan
  • Support distribution development projects
Expectations
  • B.Sc in Supply Chain, Engineering or BA
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Distribution Planning
  • Business oriented and customer focus
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory management, sales forecasting, advanced planning system
  • Ability to identify process improvements, managing change and delivering quantifiable improvements
  • Highly computer literate (MS office) with experience in using an ERP system (eg. SAP)
