Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description

  • Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints

  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision.
  • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
  • Back up responsibilities for the Project Manager as required.

Requirements

  • B.Sc degree in an engineering field
  • 5-10 years of experience through multiple function and project assignments in engineering, construction  and project management and controls activities, or comparable project-related experience in other functions/companies
  • Broad range of experience and skills through multiple function and project assignments (Multi-discipline skill set)

Job Title: Electrical & Instrument Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • To lead the field construction for electrical and instrumentation process revamp (PRV) and modification works, via contracts and contractor resources, to complete projects, mostly on operating plant, and some during plant shutdowns.
  • Participate in construction planning and preparation reviews.
  • Raise contracts and liaise with contractor supervision.
  • Review and approve method statements and risk assessments.
  • Ensure co-ordination of contractor interfaces to meet priorities and job preparation steps
  • Review and approve work permits. Review the work in progress to ensure safety
  • Review construction progress against plans. Review and approve contractor documentation such as day work and unit rate sheets, issue written instructions and sign for confirmation of verbal instructions, carry out these processes using electronic SAP R3 systems
  • Perform installation and loop checks for all instrumentation. Responsible for sub-station modifications and terminations
  • Provides direct and specific design engineering support in the Instrument and Electrical Engineering area to assigned project teams within the Nigerian Project Organization.
  • Performs the assigned technical tasks in a format agreed upon between the Project Manager (PM) and the Design Engineering Services Manager (DESM)
  • Coordinates / oversees design contractor activities in the process discipline area for assigned projects
  • Continually assesses refinements/changes and recommends updates for the maintenance of specifications and standards used in the Projects Department including the Global Practices (GP), Design Management Manual (DMM) and the Design Execution References (DER). Responsible for coordinating reviews, endorsement and final approval for changes to these specifications and guidelines using Projects’ MoC procedures.
  • Maintain a diary of construction events and resources.

Job Requirement

  • Holds a recognized technical degree at a B.Sc level.
  • Exhibits strength in Electrical/Electronics,Instrumentation or equivalent engineering area
  • 1 year related engineering experience in oil & gas industry design, project management

Job Title: Rig Supervisor

Location: Nigeria

Main Function

  • Represents the company on a rig site to support the safe and efficient execution of well plans, Is the primary contact for rig and third party personnel to ensure logistics for personnel,equipment and services are appropriately organized and managed.

Responsibilites

  • Responsible for communicating expectations regarding safety,security,health,and environment ;provides guidance and supports managing Safety, Security, Health,andEnvironment(SSHE)events
  • Responsible for communicating Operations Integrity Management Systems (OIMS) expectations on the rig site
  • Monitors rig operations to provide feedback and input to the rig contract or to ensure well control procedures are properly followed and emergency situations are appropriately managed
  • Responsible for ensuring that safety, operational, environmental, security and other drills arec onducted on site at specified frequencies
  • Responsible for ensuring drilling and completion procedures are followed as approved and utilizes management of change processes if changes are required
  • Orders and organizes logistics for services and equipment necessary to conduct drilling and completion operations efficiently
  • Supports on site surveillance requirements for the operation in areas such as kick detection, abnormal pressure detection, torque & drag, mud properties, and solids control efficiency
  • Responsible for generation of accurate and adequate operations reports
  • Interfaces with engineering and geology to ensure understanding of well objectives and procedural requirements

Job Requirements

  • Industry experience in rig supervisory or rig leadership roles for drilling and completion operations
  • Prior experience working for a major Operator or Drilling Contractor
  • Hold current certification for Well Control

Job Title: UFR Transportation and Installation Engineer (Expatriate)

Job Description

  • Directly responsible for providing technical insights to all transportation and installation engineering procedures/ analyses and installation operations associated with the UFR scope of work and make sure the tasks are carried out with full respect to HSE, quality and schedule in full compliance to particular technical requirements and schedule
  • Review of transportation and installation procedures and analysis including load out procedure, sea fastening analysis, lifting analysis, pipelay analysis, jumper and spool installation procedure and associated analyses, and mooring analysis
  • Lead technical discussions with the CONTRACTOR, Marine Warranty Surveyor or other stakeholders
  • Participate to various technical workshops including Risk Assessment workshops
  • On an occasional basis, attend to activities on site or offshore
  • Liaising with any onshore discipline engineer concerned by the technical issues raised during installation preparation.
  • Follow up on interfaces with other Egina packages
  • Preparing technical documentation for interface with FPSO, OLT & SPS contractors to make sure that technical issues are correctly identified by all parties,
  • Working in cooperation and getting assistance from dedicated Egina UFR Team specialists (such as material & welding, corrosion & coating, etc …), or third parties, if required, for specific topics.
  • Supplying verified information to the reporting system that allows full tracking of installation events either to be used for reporting issue or for mitigation of future change order.
  • Providing inputs to contract correspondence, as necessary and issuing reports and presentations as necessary

Interface with MWS (Marine Warranty Surveyor):

  • Defining, following up and closely monitoring/tracking all the documents that must be approved by the MWS in order to ensure proper insurance coverage of all transportation and installation activities.
  • Being responsible for granting MWS associated certification for each activity and ensuring that all MWS comments are properly closed by the Installation Contractor.
  • Maintaining constant monitoring with the MWS and his scope of activities during critical phases of installation.

HSE:

  • Ensuring HSE requirements are taken into consideration during installation design and installation phases and that design is approved by Third parties (Certification and/or Classification and/or MWS) when applicable.
  • Ensuring that contractor HSE plan is properly bridged with Egina HSE plan and that contractor implement the necessary prevention means to minimize risk to people and Company/contractor assets, at any time during the installation phase.
  • Participating to the UFR installation risk assessment and following mitigation measures, in close coordination with the contractor risk management team.
  • Verifying that all safety and environmental findings will be implemented in the final procedures.
  • Participating in various technical reviews (COMOPS, SIMOPS, Hazids, Hazops, Project Technical Reviews, Risk Assessments…) and ensuring implementation of recommendations as necessary.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline with MSc or equivalent, specialized in Mechanical and/or Naval Architecture Engineering.
  • Good understanding of hydrodynamic, Metocean data and preferably hydrostatic
  • Strong background in subsea installation engineer including installation of items such as pipelines/flexible, spools/jumpers and other structures.
  • Strong background and experience in mooring design, calculation and hook ups
  • Sound background in Oil and Gas installations, marine operations and offshore construction.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in Design and Installation of Subsea / Deepwater Steel Structures or previous exposure to UFR EPCI projects.
  • At least 3 years cumulative experience offshore on installation vessels
  • Good knowledge of international structural design codes / standards and general specifications.
  • Ability to prioritize activities, identify critical aspects, propose solutions, lead specialists or third parties, summarize and present complex design issues including transverse and interfaces matters.
  • BOSIET certificate including Compressed Air Emergency Breathing system (CABS) training
  • Shall be in possession of a Department of Petroleum Resources Offshore Safety Passport
  • Shall have a valid Residence Permit
