Job Summary
- We are looking for an experienced Financial Manager that will analyze our day-to-day financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans
- The goal is to enable the company’s leaders make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives
Qualifications
- Minimum of B.Sc/HND in Accounting, Economics, Banking & Finance or Management
- Excellent written and oral English skills
- Minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar position
- Applicants must possess sufficient IT knowledge, with greater focus on Microsoft Office Word & Excel
- Professional qualification such as ICAN/ACCA will be considered a plus
Requirements:
The ideal candidates must:
- Be a fully qualified Accountant
- Have a proven experience as a Financial Manager
- Be familiar with Peachtree (and) proficient user of other finance software
- Have a solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Possess working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
- Have strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Have a high degree of trustworthiness, discretion & confidentiality
- Have strong financial analysis, reporting and management skill
- Possess the ability to interpret financial reports for management decision
- Be willing to prevent, detect and investigate fraud
Responsibilities
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations of the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
- Overseeing the flow of cash and other financial instruments
- Ensure timely & accurate invoicing and proper archiving of financial records
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts to the management for review and necessary action
- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff
- Maintain the financial health of the organization
- Analyze costs, pricing, sales results and the company’s actual performance
- Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
- Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances
