Job Title: Team Lead, Civil Engineering

Location:  Lagos

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership to power station staff and other civil engineers to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions
  • Planning, designing and preparing contract documents for civil projects
  • Managing routine fleet civil assessments including site selection, geotechnical/geological investigation, structural and bridge assessment, subsidence surveys, dam safety, slope stability, lifting equipment integrity and certification management, and water management
  • Liaising with clients and a variety of professionals including architects and subcontractors
  • Supporting the development of engineering standards and practices and ensuing team members are compliant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience preferably in the power and energy sector
  • Must possess strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Proven successful project management experience
  • Must be a team player and an excellent people manager.

Job Title: Team Lead, Mechanical Engineering

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and/or execute necessary internal, interdisciplinary and external actions as project(s) requires
  • Assessing project requirements, measuring the performance of mechanical components, devices and engines, and agreeing on budgets, timescales and specifications with managers and clients
  • Carry out surveys of existing facilities and prepare survey reports; prepare design calculations in accordance with all relevant standards and legislation adopting all necessary standard formats and procedures
  • Research, design, develop mechanical solutions which meet projects’ requirements and fits in with time and budget constraints

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location:  Lagos

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost analysis based on the architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required and labour involved.
  • Prepare cost plans to enable design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects, which involve liaising with architects, engineers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit level.
  • Carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales.
  • Communicate regularly with project staff and specialist subcontractors to ensure commercial controls are in place, understood and followed at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Survey or in any related engineering course.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience preferably in the power and energy sector.
  • Must be commercially astute, numerate, risk averse & able to accurately forecast cost & sales.
  • Multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Must possess exceptional organisational skills.

Job Title: Technical Assistant to the MD

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and administrative support to the Managing Director
  • Adequately represent the MD on technical matters when required
  • Attend meetings with the MD and responding to technical inquiries as appropriate; assessing and recommending courses of action
  • Participate in meetings and preparing related reports, briefs and outcome notes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering discipline

Job Title: Head Internal Control and Audit

Location: Abuja


Job Description

  • The role holder will be responsible for effectively managing the company’s Internal Control/Audit function to ensure that it adds value to the group’s operations by providing an independent, cost effective and efficient internal audit service to all lines of business and the company’s operations, in a manner that will accomplish corporate objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor and review departmental internal control policies, procedures and processes.
  • Implement departmental internal control policies, procedures and processes;
  • Establish an effective, efficient, and transparent system of internal control;
  • Implement, monitor and report on departmental cost control system and fraud prevention plan;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
  • Develop and direct comprehensive programme of audit assignments covering internal controls, regulatory compliance, evaluating the level of controls in administration and financial systems, human resources, I.T. and other relevant departments and related businesses of the company/group;
  • Ensure the reliability of financial and management accounts, and investigate sensitive and fraud-related issues;
  • Maintain a continuous and effective working relationship with Board Audit committee, CEO/EIC and other members of the Executive Management to deal with current and pertinent issues relating to improvement of internal controls, governance and risk management processes within the Group;
  • Liaise with External Auditors, to coordinate and discuss audit and tax-related issues and resolves audit observations;
  • Assist the organisation units in developing their own self-audit;
  • Ensure that diverse audit engagements are performed in a systematic, disciplined approach and with proficiency and due professional care;
  • Ensure that auditors possess the knowledge, skills, and other competencies needed to perform their individual responsibilities, including sufficient knowledge to identify the indicators of fraud;
  • Ensure adequacy and effectiveness of internal control, processes within the group;
  • Establish a comprehensive Audit Plan covering all the activities of the group, prioritising the audit assignments based on a risk assessment, and scheduling of follow-up activities to carry out the responsibilities of the Group Audit, in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Keep the CEO and the Board informed of the results of the audit, timely in line with established audit plan;
  • Provide policies, procedures and audit programmes to guide the internal control and audit staff, in order that the objectives and technical aspects of control/ audit assignment can be met.
  • Ensure that internal auditors are properly supervised, performs audit/investigatory work with planned approach and within agreed time frames.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a First degree in Accounting or Finance related disciplines;
  • Minimum of 10 years’ practical experience in Internal Control and Audit with (at least 7 years in a leadership position);
  • Membership of a ICAN or ANAN;
  • Experience in internal control and auditing preferably in the media industry.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Good planning and organisational skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software application for auditing;
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills.

Job Title: Team Lead, Electrical Engineering

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake and deliver high quality detailed engineering design for electrical services and power distribution systems, including calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications and other documents required
  • Review and manage projects from inception to post construction duties
  • Research, design and develop electrical solutions which meet projects’ requirements and fits in with time and budget constraints
  • Conduct field surveys and study maps, graphs, diagrams, and other data to identify and correct power system problems
