A fast-growing Indigenous Marine Company located in Sapele, Delta State requires the services of a qualified candidate to fill the position below:
Job Title: Electro-Technical Officer (ETO)
Location:
 Sapele, Delta
Role & Responsibilities
It shall include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for maintenance of all the electrical motors on ship i.e. in engine room and en deck and shall perform maintenance of all switchboards including main switchboard and emergency switchboard.
  • Ensuring maintenance of fire detectors and fire alarm system, perform maintenance on all the ship’s alarm system and ensure all the batteries that are connected to machineries onboard which – includes: Emergency batteries for alarm and lights, Lifeboat batteries, batteries for emergency generator and other batteries fitted onboard.
  • Ensure the ship’s navigational lights and other navigational equipment are within operation specification.
  • Assist in watch keeping routines at desired time by the chief engineer and also assist ship’s engineer and deck officer in resolving all kind of electrical problems.

Qualifications

  • ETO Licence (STCW10/6)
  • Minimum 6 years experience on a DP2 Multi-purpose IMR/ROV Subsea Support Vessel.
Job Title: Chief Engineer
Location:
 Sapele, Delta
Role & Responsibilities
It shall include but not limited to:

  • Ensuring the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical aspects of the ship; carrying out inspections in engine room lifting equipment, slings, shackles to ensure they are in good working order and certification is maintained.
  • Monitoring fuel, lubricant and fresh water levels and ensuring engine room planned maintenance tasks are carried out and recorded according to schedule.
  • Ensuring all critical equipment are identified, operational and maintained in good working krder with sufficient essential spares maintained onboard.

Qualifications

  • Chief Engineer Licence (Class 1 Unlimited); Reg 11/2
  • DP Maintenance Certiticate
  • Minimum of 10 years experience on a DP2 Multi-purpose IMR/ROV Subsea Support Vessel.

Job Title: ROV Supervisor
Location:
 Sapele, Delta

Role & Responsibilities
It shall include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for piloting and maintenance of ROV system and handling all paperwork for, client and office.
  • Shall assist in field support, drill support, subsea construction, cable lay and subsea survey, pipeline and platform survey/inspection and maintenance, calibration and systems maintenance.
  • Be responsible for buckle trigger monitoring and free span survey, free span rectification and spool metrology.

Qualifications

  • IMCA certified ROV Supervisor
  • Minimum 10 years experience on a DP2 Multipurpose IMR/ROV Subsea Support Vessel.

 

 

Job Title: Crane Operator
Location:
 Sapele, Delta

Role & Responsibilities
It shall include but not limited to:

  • Operate travelling or stationary overhead crane to lift, move and position loads such as machinery, equipment, products and solid or bulk materials written, verbal or signal instructions.
  • Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanism.
  • Inspect crane for using hoisting attachments such as hooks, sling, electromagnet or bucket: Observe load hook-up and determine safety of load.
  • Manipulate or depress crane controls such as pedals, levers and buttons to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions.

Qualifications

  • COC Offshore Crane Stage 3
  • Minimum of 8 years experience on a DP2 Multi-purpose IMR/ROV Subsea Support Vessel.

 

 

Job Title: Master
Location:
 Sapele, Delta

Role & Responsibilities
It shall include but not limited to:

  • Be in command and control of the entire ship and pay attention to safety and wellbeing of crew, ship, environment and cargo whilst ensuring that all local and international laws and regulations are followed properly as well as all management policies.
  • Responsible for the safety of equipment and cargo carried on board. He prepares written standing and night orders for the watch keeping officers and also ensures they are familiar with them.
  • Ensures the vessel is adequately supplied and stored in accordance with requirement.
  • Ensures all personnel appointed to his vessel hold appropriate and valid certifications and licenses, proof of medical fitness.
  • Ensure all training and drills are properly conducted and logged.

Qualifications

  • Master Mariner Licence (Class 1 Unlimited); Reg 11/2
  • Full DP Unlimited Licence issued by Nautical Institute
  • Minimum 10 years experience on a DP2 Multi-purpose IMR/ROV Subsea Support vessel.
