Role Requirements
- BSc. in Water Resources Engineering or equivalent degree.
- 10 years experience, at least 7 years in the field of irrigation design.
- Computer applications, professional and keen on software applications such as : CAD programs (AutoCAD, WaterCad, Autodeskmap, and Aquaterra).
- ArcGIS programs (Model Builder, Extensions i.e Archydro, Arc HEC-HMS, GeoRAS), MIKE11, ground water models (MODFLOW),etc).
- Strong Written and Oral Communication.

Job Title: Tractor Operator
Location: Lafiagi, Kwara

- Responsible for operating highly sophisticated electronic tractor and farm equipment for clearing and preparation of farm land.
Role Requirements
- Minimum of OND Mechanical Engineering or Trade Test I, II & III.
- Valid Driver’s licence.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals and take effective control of heavy duty equipment (Valtra Tractors).

Job Title: Plant Breeder
Location: Lafiagi, Kwara
Role Overview & Responsibilities
- Undertake scientific research into plant and crop with the aim of improving sugarcane breeding techniques and developing new sugarcane varieties to improve plant performance.
- Set research aims and objectives and produce plans and budgets for such researches.
- Undertake researches for new methods of plant breeding for sugarcane and other crops in the project area.
- Supervise and undertake laboratory, glasshouse and field trials; analyse and interpret data to identify the best sugarcane varieties for the project area.
- Keep records of department breeding researches and findings, and present scientific findings.
- Keep up to date with developments related to sugarcane breeding, and writing technical publications and reports; participate in related conferences and seminars.
- Manage the technical staff in the breeding section and liaise with other plant breeders in the field.
Role Requirements
- BSc in Agriculture Science or equivalent.
- Masters Degree (MSc) will be of added advantage.
- 15 years experience in plant breeding with a minimum of 10 years in Sugarcane breeding.
- Ability to plan and conduct research, carry out practical experimental work.
- Strong knowledge of plant breeding researches and experimental procedures.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Job Title: Soil Specialist
Location: Lafiagi, Kwara
Details
- Responsible for gathering, interpreting and evaluating information about the chemistry, biology and physics of soil; and use the information to make recommendations for soil management methods to improve productivity.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of soil science including biological, chemical and physical properties of soils, and their spatial and temporal variability across the project area.
- Carry out field work, including the collection of soil samples and conduct laboratory analysis of soil samples, and research experiments for the project.
- Review and produce maps of soil types and their distribution across the project area and recommend application of soil nutrients to improve soil conditions.
- Monitor and supervise laboratory research.
- Write research reports and make presentations on findings, including scientific research papers in relation to the project soil reports and integrate soil science knowledge into aspects of land management and ecosystems.
- Keep up to date with developments in the soil science and related areas, as well as environmental issues and legislation changes that may affect the project.
- Attend conferences to keep abreast of the latest developments and to network with people in the profession and related industries.

Job Title: Senior Surveyor
Location: Lafiagi, Kwara
Details
- Responsible for Sugarcane field surveying for land preparation and cultivation activities and overall survey activities.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Coordinates survey engineers to ensure land is levelled and ready for irrigation
- Ensures correct mapping of hectares planted
- Maintain roads for sugarcane transport and infield roads.
- Prepare new land projects regarding surveying for plantation extension
- Design of canal heads, drains direction, water recycling, slope, field layout for the cultivation fields.
- Maintaining records on land (boundaries) and coordinates with the community relations department
- Coordinates with fleet management for machines availing in the field
- Making use of the remote sensing technology for yield prediction, levelling, boarders, area by satellite.
- Prepares budget for the survey section and submits to the agricultural manager for approval.
- Ensure adherence to budget by controlling the inputs.

Job Title: GIS Surveyor
Location: Lafiagi, Kwara

- Responsible for obtaining data on distance, angles, elevations, points, and contours by using total station, GPS, GIS, Digital plane table, Theodolite, Electronic distance measuring equipment and other surveying instruments process
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Conduct physical site surveys using GIS, GPS and other equipment and tools.
- Prepare sketches and notes, and perform electronic data collection.
- Coordinate field staff and process field data.
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations.

- Responsible for conducting urban planning studies and recommend locations for roads, schools, utilities, cane field, industrial complex, and overall layout of projects in order to help the company solve economic and social issues and better utilize the project area.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Support on feasibility studies by preparing planning reports and projects layouts.
- Prepare the final project master plans reflecting the physical layout plans for residential, service, agriculture, and industrial areas.
- Follow on and prepare socio-economic impact assessment and demographic studies, environmental impact assessment, site analysis and environmental audit reports.
- Assess and conduct transportation and traffic management studies to ensure flow of traffic for cane transport, harvesting, and other vehicles movement.
- Assess waste management strategies and plans and ensure they meet good engineering and best practices.

Role Requirements
- BSc/BTech/HND in Architecture, Urban Planning or equivalent.
- 10 years experience in Engineering with minimum 7 years in the urban planning.
- Exposure to interconnected projects with both a holistic and detail-oriented perspectives.
- Ability to make high-quality graphics, diagrams, maps, sketches and/or renderings with good experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Experienced in using web-based mapping platforms like, CartoDB, MapBox or other platforms designed to use Open Street Map.
- Exposure with good understanding of agriculture and agribusiness projects planning and layouts.
Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Lafiagi, Kwara
Details
- Responsible for conducting research and soil study to evaluate its suitability for foundations, prepare designs for foundation structures and supervise the construction.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Prepare scope of work for soil investigation contractors.
- Supervise field work and soil investigation.
- Supervise soil sampling, lab tests for soil samples to determine suitability of soil for structure foundations.
- Recommend and design foundation of project civil and hydraulic structures as well as roads and pipes.
- Supervise foundation construction.
- Review any foundation designs proposed by contractors.
- Ensure the company soils labs are equipped and suitable for soil investigation.
Role Requirements
- BSc/BTech/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 10 years experience in construction engineering with a minimum of 7 years in the geotechnical engineering.
- Computer literate.
- Strong knowledge in application of land soil testing equipment.
