Job Title: Health and Safety Officer
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- The Health and safety officers will develop, maintain and protect health and safety standards within the organisation and onsite in accordance with current health and safety legislation.
Requirements
- Certifications in HSE is Compulsory
- Computer literate
- 1 – 2 years working experience
- Minimum OND certificate
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
Responsibilities
Other responsibilities required are stated below:
- Organising monthly health and safety meetings
- Identifying potential hazards
- Planning safe working practices and making necessary changes
- Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation
- Liaising with relevant authorities and making regular site inspections
- Undertaking risk assessments and determining ways of reducing risks
