Job Title: Facility Manager

Locations: FCT, Abuja and Lagos Island, Lagos
Job Type: Full Time

Job Summary

  • We are recruiting to fill the role of a Facility Manager for one of our Clients
  • The Facilities Manager will oversee all building and grounds maintenance for the company the company’s properties.

Job Responsibilities
Property Strategy:

  • Planning building maintenance and operational programs
  • Suggest initiatives to improve operating practices, such as increasing efficiency
  • Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives

Space Management:

  • Allocate offices / buildings space according to needs
  • Managing all vendor contracts

Building Maintenance:

  • Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
  • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
  • Supervision of estate maintenance services such as refuse collection, sewage disposal, Estate Street cleaning, and fumigation

Contract Management:

  • Negotiating bids and contracts for third party workers
  • Review and inspect services carried out for quality, accuracy and completion
  • Maintain service logs and schedules to ensure effective evaluation of services
  • Carry out pre and post inspections of reactive repairs jobs within agreed timescales.

Health and Safety:

  • Identify hazards and assess risk on designated housing unit.
  • Communicate safety and health requirements needed.

Testing and Inspections:

  • Responsible for undertaking the inspection of properties during and after the defects liability period
  • Ensuring that facilities meet compliance standards and government regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience as a Facility Officer.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Eager to expand the company with new sales, clients, and territories
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player
  • Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
