Job Title: Account Supervisor

Location: Delta

Job Description

  • The Account supervisor provides high quality service to clients, manage account payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, tax audits and other statutory matters.

Job Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable
  • Process invoices and payment requests
  • Handles and follow up on all statutory matters.
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing
  • Keep accurate records for all daily transactions
  • Reconcile bank statements, track bank deposits and payments
  • Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Participate in regular tax audits
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
  • Keep track and update inventory records
  • Prepare invoices in line with contracts/Purchase Order
  • Post Invoices and Purchase Orders into appropriate General Ledger heads
  • Investigate and resolve queries relating to invoices
  • Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the head of finance

Key Performance Areas

  • Compliance with corporate policies and procedures, and standard accounting practices.
  • Departmental and all finance and accounting reporting
  • Accurate and prompt reconciliation of all General Ledger (GL) accounts.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of reports
  • Account receivable and payables
  • Processing metrics – days to close, error free transaction processing

Educational Qualifications

  • A First Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, or any other numerate discipline
  • Good knowledge using accounting software and inventory management
  • Strong computer skills, MS Excel (managing spreadsheets, creating charts, and using advanced formulas)

Professional Qualification:

  • ICAN preferred.
