We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Backend Engineer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are seeking a Backend Engineer, as a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side components of our software applications.
  • Your expertise in Node.js, Nest.js, Go, Spring Boot, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and AWS will be crucial in developing scalable and efficient backend systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end engineers, product managers, and designers, to gather requirements and translate them into scalable backend solutions.
  • Develop server-side code using Node.js, Nest.js, Go, and Spring Boot, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Write clean, modular, and testable code, following best practices, coding standards and test-driven development.
  • Implement security measures, such as authentication and authorization mechanisms, to protect sensitive data.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and stability of backend systems.
  • Design and optimize database structures using MongoDB and PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and efficient data retrieval.
  • Implement and integrate with AWS services to deploy and manage scalable infrastructure.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance, including identifying and resolving bottlenecks and implementing caching strategies.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers to define and implement APIs that facilitate seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies, frameworks, and best practices, and actively contribute to the technical growth of the team.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain documentation.
  • Support and maintain existing backend systems, addressing bugs and implementing enhancements as required.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Node.js, Nest.js, Go, and Spring Boot, with hands-on experience in developing scalable backend applications using these technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of security principles and best practices for protecting data and infrastructure.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git, and collaborative development workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug and optimize backend systems.
  • Good understanding of software development methodologies and agile practices.
  • Proficient in database management using MongoDB and PostgreSQL, including data modeling, querying, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with AWS services for deploying and managing scalable infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and design patterns.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, for building and deploying applications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience working in a Fintech environment will be an added advantage.

2.) Senior Analyst, Operations

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Description

  • The Senior Analyst, Operations will assist in the implementation of operational excellence processes, procedures and strategies.
  • The Senior Analyst, Operations will undertake robust daily, weekly, and monthly planning and coordination to ensure that all the necessary resources are in place to achieve Key Results and ultimately deliver on time and within deadlines.
  • The Senior Analyst, Operations will play an active role in the execution of Payzeep’s operational functions while maintaining a high level of collaboration across board.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of efficient policies and process management.
  • Oversee and support office administration and management.
  • Provide executive support to the operations Manager and other superiors.
  • Assist in the enforcement of operational compliance.
  • Maintain and update operation reports and databases.
  • Oversee the maintenance of infrastructure while ensuring their safety and functionality.
  • Supervision of Payzeep’s Facility Employees (Security Guards, Technicians, Cleaners e.t.c)
  • Assist in the departmental budget management, allocation of resources and managing operational costs.
  • Manage relationship with Payzeep’s vendors / suppliers.
  • Take charge of inventory management, order processing and cycle count.
  • Maintain accurate record of document flow, ensuring proper filing.

Key Requirements and Skills

  • BSc/BA in Business, Administration, Accounting or other relevant fields.
  • 3+ years of proven experience as an Operations Officer or similar role in a Fintech Company.
  • Familiarity with the supply chain business function.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience with budgets and financial reports and monitoring expenses.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting.
  • Analytical mind.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.

3.) Compliance Lead

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Description

  • Work closely with the Director of Legal services.
  • Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program for Paymi Solutions.
  • Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them across teams.
  • Draft and revise the company policies.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and the People and Culture team when needed.
  • Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.
  • Educate and train Employees on financial technology industry practices and regulations.
  • Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses.
  • Evaluate business activities (e.g. investments) to assess compliance risk.
  • Advise the management of Paymi Solutions on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports.
  • Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance.
  • Keep abreast of Paymi’s internal standards and business goals.
  • Attend sprint meetings.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc / BA in Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of proven experience as a Compliance Officer or Manager in a reputable Bank or Financial Technology Company.
  • Professional certification is an advantage.
  • Highly analytical, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in risk management.
  • Knowledge of legal requirements and controls in areas such as; Anti-Money Laundering.
  • Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards.
