Job Title: Finance Associate

Locations: South-South & South-West
Type of Appointment: Full Time
Duration: Sixteen (16) months

Details

  • The Finance Associate shall, under the direct supervision of the Senior Finance Officer, conduct the following activities.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Collect and collate all fund requests from states
  • Process approvals for payment requests
  • Raise Payment Vouchers
  • File payment vouchers after ensuring all necessary documents
  • First line review of state program retirements
  • Track administrative expenses of state offices
  • Ensure all state offices adhere to retirement guidelines
  • Conduct supportive supervision to states
  • Review the financial document collected and cross checking to ensure arithmetical accuracy
  • Prompt payment of statutory deductions and filling of such document
  • Any other duties as assigned

Personality Profile
The candidate is expected to demonstrate strong personality skill in the following:

Qualifications

  • Applicant must have a minimum of University Degree in Accounting, Economics or other Social Science courses or Higher National Diploma Certificate in Accounting & other Social Science courses.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ work related experience in similar organisation.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, pro-activeness in managing risks, self-motivated and resilient in stress management, strong attention to details, excellent writing and communications skills in English language are required.
  • Successful candidates must have extensive knowledge of Nigeria public health sectors with strong analytical and problem solving/team work skills. Computer literacy with demonstrated use of word processing, database and presentation software (Word, Excel, Power Point). Applicant’s experience must reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above.

Job Title: Project Transport Officer

Location: Abuja
Type of Appointment: Full Time
Duration: Sixteen (16) months

Details

  • The Project Transport Officer (TO) shall under the supervision of the Programme and Admin. Officer carry out the following activities:

Specific Job/Responsibilities

  • Provide transportation support to staff or project activities.
  • Handle vehicle fueling and maintenance, and ensure adherence to organization’s transport and security policies.
  • Provide logistical support as requested by the project office (line manager).

Qualifications

  • Level of Education – SSCE, Diploma
  • At least 4 years of professional driving with valid Nigerian Driver’s license and with NGOs
  • Good spoken and written skills in English language and local language of cluster applied for.
  • Experience working on the community component of GF HIV Impact Project.

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Location: Abuja

Specific Jobs/Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and oversight on monitoring and evaluation of the DMPA-SC project
  • Ensure that the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities are in line with the project’s implementation plan and meets he donor and project’s M&E needs.
  • Provide technical support to state officers in ensuring that programmatic data/indicators are accurately captured, and reported according to set guidelines
  • Represent and make appropriate presentations to stakeholders at various for a on program achievements and deliverables and other M&E  activities
  • Support the development and design of the M&E framework, tools and project M&E plans, guidelines and ensure efficient data management processes
  • Provide continuous technical lead to project team on data management and regularly analyze state data, highlight importance programmatic gaps and coordinate with program management and others in addressing these gaps
  • Conduct routine monitoring and supportive supervisory visits to project sites, including the conduct of data verification and validation and data quality assessments (DQAs) using standard checklists
  • Ensure regular maintenance of database/information system, project’s training database and programmatic progress updates that documents achievements on a regular basis
  • Support monitoring activities to project sites, collation/analysis of monitoring reports for program feedback and decision making
  • Conduct operational research activities, participate in project assessments, evaluations, and design teams as applicable
  • Facilitate the preparation/production of project reports, journal publications, proposal writing and assessment reports, human success stories and quarterly fact sheets
  • Provide technical support to the project, FMOH, SMOH and other Government of Nigeria entities in the conduct of surveys for Family Planning programs, including development of survey instruments, survey implementation, data analysis and report writing under guidance of the M&E Coordinator.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must have a University degree in any of the following related field: Medicine, Pharmacy, Statistics, Demography and Public Health.
  • A master’s degree in public health will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation in HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria, Family Planning or related fields and programs in developing countries
  • Working experience with Global Fund, USAID and Bill and Melinda Gate Foundation or any other donor-funded programs is desirable.
  • Applicant’s experience must reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above
